A brother passed away suddenly in 2008, and Tom Bowers and his staff there at the funeral home were AMAZING and helped us every step of the way.

Because of a small balance owed on his funeral, and since his wife signed the paperwork for his funeral- the Memory Gardens REFUSE to place my Dad's headstone. They also refuse to talk to me or my brother, or even TAKE ANY PAYMENT toward the balance of my Dad's funeral.
The headstone is AT THE CEMETARY in the warehouse- the Memory Gardens simply won't place the marble slab that it sits on until my Dad's widow pays the balance of the service.
My Father had remarried after my Mother had passed away. Even though made certain decisions for his Estate while he was alive- his wife then had certain responsibilities after his death.
My Father was a 50+ year Veteran of the US Air Corps, the US Air Force, and lived out his latter years working as a Civilian Contractor at Fort Rucker, Alabama; Minot AFS, North Dakota; and lastly, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
My Mother passed away in 2006 from a valiant battle with blood cancer, and we placed her in the Mausoleum and we have one other crypt where I will be placed when my time comes.
When my Father passed away in 2011, I did some preplanning and we had already decided to place him in one of the plots that my brother had purchased all those years earlier. The plot- was 100% paid for.
Shame on you, Hendersonville Memory Gardens! Shame on you!
Initially- Hendersonville Funeral Home and Memory Gardens was a beautiful place with wonderful memories available. My brother lost his wife due to colon cancer. He selected a place for her to rest under a tree and purchased 5 other plots around her.
The Nelson Family
His headstone reflects his Veterans status, and was provided in part by the Veterans Administration.
My wife and I stopped by today to see Johnny & June Carter Cash's grave site. We were so disappointed and it made us very mad to see it so neglected with weeds, tall grass, old dead flowers, broken lights around there grave site. They deserve so much better then this. For Gods sake you people its June & Johnny Cash. What are you thinking, oh your not. You guys at Hendersonville Memory Gardens what's the problem, to much work to keep the grave site clean and cut. Please go see for your self. My wife and I are planing to go clean it up soon. After all Johnny is THE MAN IN BLACK.
Wake up Hendersonville Memory Gardens
Gives you a serene feeling being here. Johnny Cash is buried here- it's a simple large flat granite stone which has "John Cash" and the dates. It's right next to June's. Lots of guitar picks on the ground around the gravestone.
I went to see Johnny Cash and June Carter's graves. There were quite a few people there when I went, and I was struck by the simplicity and dignity of the site. Tucked away, I found Maybelle Carter's grave. It had a modest marker for a modest woman who was an American music icon.
As such, after spending over $70,000 on funerals, crypts and burial plots over the years- my Father now rests in the UNMARKED GRAVE of a pauper, because of a balance at one time that was under $3,000.00.
