I will say the wait was worth it i enjoyed watching the movie and it anticipated the being scared. The money was well worth it. I can say the speed pass should be done away with and they should get some people that will work for pizza and soft drinks and hanging out in the woods. There was not enough actors but the ones they have are great and need a raise. IT IS WORTH THE MONEY AND THE WAIT IS NOT THAT LONG! GET A DRIVER DRINK A FEW BEERS AND HAVE A BLAST!!!!! BRING A CHICK AND SHE WILL HOLD ON SO TIGHT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FEEL HER NIPPLES LMAO
It took us about 20-30 minutes to walk through. We really appreciated the amount of work it must take to build and maintain all the different scenes and there were some really cool areas. There were plenty of actors to keep it entertaining and overall this is a nicely put together haunted attraction. Check it out!
I have been wanting to go to Monster Mountain for the last couple of Halloween seasons and finally made it out. My wife and I really enjoyed it. The wait in line was not bad at all, we got there right as they were opening. They purposely allow a few minutes in between groups (or couples) to go in so you're not lumped in with other people and can walk through on your own, which I liked a lot. They also played the 1990 version of IT on the big screen while waiting, so that was entertaining.
I give it 2 stars for 2 reasons.. 1)It’s $30 for the express line tickets. Cmon. Not worth it. 2) It’s just not scary. The actors had good costumes and were interactive and enthusiastic, but they just weren’t scary. Most of them said the same things like “Hello, how are you this evening?” w their best goblin voice. But they were all very polite and even helpful at times. For $30 I want to be legit freaked out. Monster Mountain did not deliver. It was fun tho and the staff is all cool and accommodating. Just, like I said, not scary.
Monster mountain is my favorite haunted house I've been to, especially compared to Nashville nightmare. It all depends on what you're looking for. At monster mountain, the wait is long to ensure that your group is going to have a personal walk through experience without running into other groups. They have a horror/thriller movie projected out front with a great sound system to entertain you while you wait as well as nachos, hotdogs, and movie candy. There aren't as many actors compared to Nashville nightmare, but the amount of time spent finding your way through the dark, creepy scenes of the haunted house is worth the lack of actors, because it allows your suspense level to build up and not expect someone to scare you at every single corner. I really appreciate the scenes they put together through the interactive maze. You have to go through obstacles that are unlike any other haunted house I've been to. They don't rush you through like they do at Nashville nightmare. You're walking through the woods on a giant hill so the whole path is constantly going up and down. It's a nice hike and keeps things interesting. It's definitely a business that cares about your experience more than how much money they can make off of you. I personally recommend paying $20 to wait in line, watch a movie, and get really chilled out before you get really tense inside. I've been going to monster mountain for over 10 years and I will be bringing all of my Nashville friends to bodunk millersville so they can see what a haunted house is really supposed to be like.
We went last night (Friday the 13th) and it was pretty lame. One would think that Friday the 13th would be a night they would have all monsters on deck. I have to say it wasn't worth the money.
