It is a shame when a business grows to a point that it no longer feels as if good customer service is necessary. When you call to place an order, they do not even greet you, they immediately put you on hold. I have been in the store and witnessed, first hand, that this happens even when the person answering the phone is not busy (in one instance, I saw an employee put someone on hold only to go goof off with a fellow employee for about 5 minutes or so). Maybe the intent is to get people to hang up and never call back. If so, while it took some time and a lot of frustrating orders, it eventually worked on me. I will not be placing any future orders with this Papa John's.
There always seem to be a lot of people working there, yet they can’t get things done on time. Is this a case of too many cooks?
Good pizza, but EVERY TIME I order I’m left waiting an age. Tonight I ordered via the app, was given a35m wait time. I arrived & still had to wait 15m when I turned up. It wasn’t even busy.
Called them on Christmas and instead of the answering machine simply telling me they are closed for the holidays (which I understand, btw) they leave you on an automated answering machine that loops through several advertisements and telling me that a "teammate will be with me soon" giving me the impression that they are not closed....Which they were.
I so wish I could give this a good review, but unfortunately after many repeated visits and the service/ outcome of our orders, I have to say I am not satisfied or have high hopes for change. It's seems to take over 45 mins + for pizza to be delivered no matter the time. Also the outcome of our order had never been expected the extra sauce you order never seems to be in with your order so I always double check. Below I attached a photo of some garlic bread sticks I had ordered along with pizza for pick up. After waiting the 20 mins I arrived to get my order and was told it was going to be another 10 15 mins or so. I could see that they were busy so I was fine with the wait. When my name was called and they showed me my order the pizza looked fine but the breadsticks were plain. I had then politely informed the lady that I had ordered garlic breadsticks, she said ok I will correct that for you! I said thank you and waited. Upon return she shows me my garlic breadsticks and they are the same ones from before but with garlic sauce squirted on them. In shock I politely asked if they could just make me new breadsticks as this was not correct. The lady agreed and said it would be a little wait and I said that's fine no rush! When she returned they did come out correctly this time and I thanked her. The service was not at par, I know they were busy but that to me so not acceptable, the lady was also not very concerned about how they turned out and did not really seem to apologize. This was by far the worst experience we have had, but I will still support this local business.
Answering the phone at this business doesn't exist! I called to place an order and it rang until they finally hung up on me. Then my husband called and they did the same thing. We had to go to the store and place the order since no access at the time to a computer. We did complain to the kid at the counter about not answering but he ignored us. This happened again as I tried to order this week so it seems to be typical for this store. It was a Wednesday and they were not slammed with business so no excuse this time!
