I love catfish and theirs is delicious. The cat-touffee was awesome. Loved the sample gumbos, lobster bisque and jambalaya when I dined in. My 3 star rating is motivated by the VERY small side of coleslaw I received when I ordered the 5-piece catfish plate for take-out. It was only about 2 TBSP of slaw. I also ordered a cup of jambalaya. It was cold and did not fill the container. Otherwise I have no complaints.
Prices are reasonable. I had their Boudin Balls and one came with a hair on it. Also the seafood gumbo with no seafood just rice. The lemon water was excellent.
Our pastor, who is from Louisiana, loves Lost Cajun! We went on his recommendation and we are regulars now! Lobster bisque is ADDICTIVE and their catfish is amazing. Gumbos, oysters and jambalaya are delicious. The servers are always attentive and friendly. Robby, the owner, is very friendly and always is present in the dining room to make sure everyone is pleased with their food and to chat. This is a casual, family friendly place that serves great food. They have begun a new "pick 3" of their classics, so now I don't have to choose only one. They offer a complimentary sampler to help you decide what to order, which is especially helpful if you're a newbie.
I've never been to Louisiana but I have had Cajun food from other places and this was by far the best. Food was great and portioned well and the service was great as well. Greeted at the door and wait staff was friendly. The chef samples were very helpful. I will be coming back again and again to The Lost Cajun. Now I believe I'm going to take a nap!
The inside of the restaurant makes you feel like you have traveled to a far-away place. The shredded chicken is delicious in a quesadilla.
